Single trip permits are valid for five (5) days.
OPERATING TIME
One-half hour before sunrise to one-half hour after sunset; vehicles not exceeding 10' wide or 100' long may operate on the interstate 24 hours a day.

WEEKEND TRAVEL
Saturday and Sunday travel is granted for loads not exceeding 14' wide, 16' high or 110' long, Manufactured housing (mobile homes) not restricted
INFORMATION NEEDED TO ORDER A WIDE LOAD, OVERSIZE AND HEAVY HAUL PERMIT
Company name and address, phone number, motor carrier registration fee or SSR number, type of equipment hauling load, year and make, serial number, license number, load description (manufacturer's housing serial number), overall dimensions, overhang front and rear, axle spacing, axle load, number of tires, size of tires, origin, destination and routes.

Restricted Travel (CURFEW)
Time restrictions are noted on the permit; all major cities are restricted (Houston, Dallas, Ft Worth, Lubbock, Austin, Beaumont, San Antonio, El Paso, Vidor and Wichita Falls) from 7:00 - 9:00 A.M. and 4:00 - 6:00 P.M. Monday through Friday, no movement during hazardous road conditions or when visibility is less than 2/10th of a mile.

SPRING WEIGHT RESTRICTIONS
No restrictions.
Overweight, Oversized & Wide Load Super Loads
Loads over 200,000 lbs require a BOL showing the load weight. Loads exceeding 254,000 lbs, 20' wide, 19' high or 125' long are considered Super Loads. The following information must be submitted: 1.) purpose for moving the load; 2.) load description; 3.) the type of equipment that will be used to move the load; 4.) a detailed diagram of the equipment showing the number of axles, axle spacings, tires per axle, tire size on each axle and weight per axle; 5.) a map of the proposed routes that indicates where the load will begin and end.
